What is Pickora Quiz?
Pickora Quiz is a product recommendation quiz app for SHOPLINE. Merchants create questions and transparent recommendation paths, and shoppers receive SHOPLINE product recommendations based on their answers.
How does product recommendation work?
Each enabled Recommendation Path contains answer conditions and one or more products. When a shopper finishes the quiz, Pickora evaluates the active path conditions, validates the referenced SHOPLINE products, preserves the configured product order, applies the maximum-results limit, and returns deliverable products.
Does Pickora use black-box AI to decide recommendations?
No. The current recommendation engine is merchant-controlled and rule-based. Merchants can see which answers are used, which products a path returns, and can run Test recommendation before publishing.
Which question types are supported?
Pickora supports single choice, multiple choice, and image choice. Single/image choices can automatically advance to the next visible question on the storefront.
What is Conditional Flow Lite?
A later question can be shown only when one earlier question contains a specific required answer. Each question supports one lightweight condition. Pickora intentionally avoids complex AND/OR flow canvases so the setup remains understandable.
Can Pickora handle stores with thousands of products?
Yes. The admin uses server-side SHOPLINE product search and cursor-based pagination instead of loading the full catalog into the browser. Results are loaded in small batches, and selected products remain attached to the quiz while merchants search or load more.
Why does Pickora refresh selected products?
A saved product snapshot can become stale when a product is archived, republished, changed, or recreated in SHOPLINE. Pickora refreshes selected products and performs stricter live checks for recommendation products before publishing so the admin state matches what can actually be delivered on the storefront.
What are Fallback Products?
Fallback Products are optional backup recommendations. They are used when no enabled recommendation path produces deliverable products. They help prevent a shopper from reaching an empty result state.
What does Maximum Recommendations do?
It limits the number of products shown in the final result, from 1 to 6, while keeping the configured recommendation order.
What is Recommendation Status?
Recommendation Status is a merchant-facing configuration check, not a score. Ready means the quiz has a usable product pool and valid enabled recommendation paths. Needs review means a path contains an invalid/deleted reference, duplicate conflict, or currently unavailable recommendation product. Needs setup means required recommendation configuration is still missing.
What is Test recommendation?
Test recommendation runs a selected path through Pickora’s live recommendation-delivery checks from the admin. It shows the expected answers, whether the rule matches, current SHOPLINE product state, and the final deliverable product count.
How do Fixed Entry, Display Rules, and Auto Trigger work together?
Display Rules decide where and for whom a quiz is eligible. Fixed Entry decides how shoppers can manually open it (no fixed entry, floating button, or side dock). Auto Trigger independently decides whether an eligible quiz opens automatically (for example immediately, after a delay, after scrolling, or on desktop exit intent). A side dock can remain visible while a delayed auto trigger is also configured.
Will an automatically opened quiz keep popping up?
Pickora limits the current Auto Trigger behavior to once per session for the relevant quiz/experiment trigger. If a shopper manually opens the fixed launcher before the timer or trigger fires, that automatic trigger is consumed so the shopper is not surprised by a second popup.
What shopper information can Lead Capture collect?
A merchant can optionally enable first name, last name, email, and/or phone collection before results. Fields can be required or optional. Email marketing consent is configured separately and remains optional for the shopper. Pickora does not require Lead Capture for a quiz to work.
Where is Lead Capture information stored?
Lead fields and any recorded marketing consent are saved with the Pickora quiz response. Merchants can review completed responses in Analytics and export them as CSV. They remain responsible for using collected information consistently with their storefront privacy notice and applicable law.
Can I connect Pickora to Klaviyo?
Yes. Merchants can connect a Klaviyo account from Integrations. New completed quiz responses can send a Completed Pickora Quiz event with customer and recommendation context. If the merchant enables subscription syncing, Pickora only subscribes an email when the shopper explicitly gave email marketing consent in the Quiz.
How do Quiz Rewards and discounts work?
Merchants can connect a SHOPLINE discount to a quiz. Pickora uses the authorized discount permissions to validate the connected discount before publishing and can show the reward code on the result experience.
What analytics are available?
Pickora records views, starts, question answers, completions, product clicks, add-to-cart events, and discount interactions. The admin can calculate completion metrics and Question Drop-off, including eligible cohorts for conditional questions.
Does Pickora support A/B testing?
Yes. Experiments can compare eligible quiz experiences and track attributed storefront activity. Entry/trigger behavior follows the same Fixed Entry + Display Rules + Auto Trigger architecture.
What should I check if a shopper gets no recommendations?
First run Test recommendation. Confirm that the expected path is enabled, its answer conditions match, its products are selected, and the products are Active with usable variants in SHOPLINE. Configure Fallback Products if you want a safety net for unmatched paths.
Why can a product look selected but not be recommendable?
Pickora stores product snapshots for configuration, but SHOPLINE product state can change later. Refresh product status or run Test recommendation. Pickora may mark a product unavailable if SHOPLINE reports it as archived/draft/missing or if no usable variant can be resolved.
How do I install the storefront experience?
Install/authorize Pickora through SHOPLINE Admin, publish a quiz, configure Storefront settings, and enable the Pickora Theme App Extension block or app embed in the SHOPLINE theme where required.
Is Pickora mobile responsive?
Yes. The storefront quiz and result experience include mobile-specific layouts, compact result cards, sticky navigation, safe-area handling, and responsive desktop/mobile behavior.
How is shopper privacy handled?
Merchants decide whether Lead Capture is enabled. Pickora also processes quiz answers and event data needed to operate recommendations and analytics. Review the Privacy Policy on this site for details. Merchants should also provide their own storefront privacy notice.
How can I request data deletion or get support?
For store-data, shopper-data, privacy, or technical support requests, Use the developer support channel shown on the Pickora Quiz listing in the SHOPLINE App Store. Include the SHOPLINE store domain/handle and enough detail to identify the affected quiz or submission, but do not send passwords or access tokens.
